Refund Policy for OpenClaw
Overview
We understand that circumstances may change after a purchase. OpenClaw offers a fair refund policy to balance the needs of our users with the nature of our digital hosting services.
General Refund Policy
Once you receive your OpenClaw instance access, API tokens, or subscription activation confirmation via email, the service is considered delivered. However, we offer refunds in the following situations:
Situations Eligible for Refund
We offer full or partial refunds in the following situations:
1. Technical Issues (Full Refund)
- Invalid Credentials: If your access credentials or API tokens are genuinely invalid and cannot be activated after our support team attempts to resolve the issue.
- Service Unavailable: If the OpenClaw instance or service is completely unusable due to technical errors on our end and we cannot resolve it within 48 hours.
- Instance Allocation Failure: If we are unable to allocate a dedicated OpenClaw instance within 48 hours of payment confirmation.
2. Duplicate Purchase (Full Refund)
- If you accidentally made duplicate payments for the same subscription, we will refund the duplicate charge immediately.
3. Cancellation Within 7 Days (Partial Refund)
- If you cancel your subscription within 7 days of initial purchase and have used less than 10% of your allocated API credits, we will provide a prorated refund based on unused credits.
- Refund amount = (Unused credits / Total credits) × Subscription price
4. Dissatisfaction (Partial Refund)
- If you are unsatisfied with the service within 48 hours of activation and have not used any API credits, we will provide a 50% refund as a courtesy.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:

- Provide Information:
- Your order number
- Email address used for purchase
- Reason for refund request
- Screenshots or evidence (if technical issue)
- Wait for Response: We will review your request and respond within 1-2 business days
- Refund Processing: Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days to your original payment method
We aim to make the refund process as smooth as possible and will work with you to find a satisfactory solution.
Situations Not Eligible for Refund
Please note that refunds may not be available in the following situations:
- After 7 Days: Refund requests made more than 7 days after purchase (except for technical issues caused by us)
- High Credit Usage: If you have consumed more than 10% of your allocated API credits
- Third-Party Issues: Service interruptions or quality issues caused by upstream AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.)
- User Environment: Network problems, firewall configurations, or other infrastructure issues on your end
- Subscription Renewals: Automatic renewals that you did not cancel before the renewal date (though we send reminder emails)
Subscription Cancellations
For OpenClaw monthly or annual subscriptions:
- Easy Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard
- No Future Charges: Cancellation stops all future billing immediately
- Continued Access: Your OpenClaw instance and API credits remain fully accessible until the end of the current billing period
- Credit Policy: Unused API credits do not roll over to the next billing period
- Prorated Refunds: If you cancel within the first 7 days and meet the criteria above, you may be eligible for a prorated refund
Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
We strongly encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving any payment concerns fairly and promptly.
If you initiate a chargeback without contacting us first:
- We will be unable to provide support for your issue
- Your account may be temporarily suspended pending dispute resolution
- This may affect your ability to access the service
